Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Sunday was spent with my side of the family. We had dinner last night to celebrate my Mom's 52nd Birthday. Her actual birthdate was last week, August 08 but since I was in Baguio to attend a wedding that time, we decided to hold her post-birthday dinner celebration a week after. My penalty ... I get to treat the family!
Anyway, We had simple dinner at MANN HAN restaurant (our family so love Chinese food) in Megamall and post dinner celebration with coffee and donuts at Krispy Kreme. Very simple celebration. My mom was really happy since we spent our Sunday with her, together with all her apos (five), and in-laws. Though we are not complete (less my younger brother working that night), she's very happy that we spent our Sunday night with her just simply catching up and making her feel special.

To my mom : Happy, happy birthday! Wishing you more birthdays (and lovelife) to come!

Happy Father's Day!!

Father's Day was spent this year with a simple lunch and dinner with the family ... just like how we spent my birthday the day before, no much frills and brouhaha. We just indulged ourselves with tons of buttered crabs, ice cream and my left over birthday cake. Celebration done in a simple and very tipid manner this year. Bought no gift for hubby too..hahaha! Syempre, quits kami noh! But, I bought him his favourite --- 5 kilos of yummy crab and cooked his favorite T-Bone Steak with mashed potatoes. And since we had so much crab for lunch, brought half of it to my FIL as our Father’s Day dinner treat to them. O di ba, super tipid kami. lol.

Anyway, sharing some of our Father’s Day pictures here …

yummy buttered-crab (obvious ba super seafood fanatics kami!)

my specialty: t-bone steak with mashed potatoes in mushroom gravy sauce

Hubby and Ico ... enjoying the meal!

(biggie meal sila! can't believe how they ate 3 servings of my sizzling t-bone steak! sus, ka-takaw!)

To my amazing husband, thank you so much for all the things you’ve given us --- the patience, generosity, unselfish love and sacrifices you’ve done for the family. Thank you for being a great provider not only financially but emotionally and spiritually as well. Above all, thank you for accepting my son Ico wholeheartedly. You may not be his real dad, but you shared so much of yourself and understood him more than anyone else. You’ve been a great teacher, trusting friend and big brother to him. And with that, I thank you so much. We are so blessed having someone like you in our life. Thank you Daddy, Happy Father’s Day! We love you.

Diet Blues 2 : The Game Plan

I strongly believe hubby's sabotaging my weight loss goal. He's trying NOT to make me win our bet!!! And boy, he's really good at this ...

Here are the reasons why ...

1. Hubby invited me last week for our usual dinner date, that is...Dampa Ortigas. Our favorite affordable, quick and yummy get-away. He made sure that I won't resist the ff yummy treats:

buttered-garlic crab

salt and pepper squid

2. Food take outs and delivery to the max for the entire weekend:

Friday: Jade Palace's pork siomai, asado siopao and beef wanton noodles

Saturday: Greenwich Special Family size Pizza (imagine just three of us ate the family-size pizza!!) with chicken!

Sunday: Bought chocolate caramel cake and ice cream!

3. Encouraged me to eat more by buying midnight snacks from the grocery such as: Purefoods TJ Hotdogs and hotdog buns, coke zero, chocolates, lemon square cheese cupcakes! He won't stop eating...he won't stop eating infront of me!! How can I resist? I am only but human ... (insert cry here!lol.)

Think he's determined to win his bet ... need to do some drastic measures, and fast! Lipo-suction perhaps? Naahh! don't think I am willing to undergo some medical procedures...yet! I am too chicken for this!

Wish me luck.
